A microcontroller-based circuit is fitted in the mining worker safety helmet which tracks the environment of the mining site and evaluates the safety parameters.
Telemetry Versatile Accident Detection Tracking and Security System
Attachable helmet accessory that provides sensory and audio feedback to the wearer for navigation and warnings on the street (Created for WearHacks 2017)
The project aimed to create affordable safety headgear for underground tunnel workers. It included a helmet for miners and a ground control unit. The system used GPS for location tracking and monitored temperature, pressure, and air quality. A key focus was establishing real-time communication between miners' helmets and the surface control unit.
Final year B.Tech Electronics and Telecommunications Project.
This Repo is a project of a Smart Helmet integrating safety Features such as Drunk Driving, GPS tracking and many more.
This is a smart helmet that has been produced to assist miners operating in the mining industry. Many risky incidents commonly occur in the mining sector, many of which can result in life-threatening injuries or death. A miner's helmet is one of the most regularly used safety equipment for mine workers hence it must be loaded with some more advanced features. With the use of different sensors, this smart helmet will be able to identify catastrophic situations, such as harmful gases like Carbon-Monoxide, CH4, LPG, and natural gases. it can also detect whether the miner is wearing his helmet or not with the help of an infrared sensor embedded on the smart helmet. Each sensor has a critical value that, if exceeded, causes the buzzer to activate and the LEDs to illuminate, warning the miners and supervisors about the possible threats. The GPS module fitted in the miners' helmets helps the mining officials to readily track the miners. Furthermore, a Panic Button has been implemented, which, when pressed, sends an emergency signal via mail to higher authorities outside the mines. All of the data from the sensors is visible in a mobile application which helps the mining authorities to get a better overview of the situation underground.
