My Restaurant

This repository contains a restaurant reservation app that receives form data and posts it to the server using Express. The form data is posted to the /api route and the first 5 reservations will be sent to the tables list, while all of the reservations after the first 5 will be sent to the waitlist. This application also includes links to view the current tables/waitlist data as JSON.

Installing locally

1. Make sure you have Node.js to run the application
2. Clone this repo

3. Install the NPM packages

npm install

4. Start up the server in the command line

node server.js

5. Open the application in your browser as it is hosted locally

http://localhost:3000

This repository contains:

• server.js - This file utilizes Express to create a server and initializes the routes to each page.
• /pages - These files contain the layout of the HTML pages for the home page, reservation page, and tables page.
