Pi5DESK: Raspberry PiOS 64-bit Desktop Test Bed

  • Installed, built, and configured ROS 2 Humble Desktop "Plus" in Docker
  • Tested running slam-toolbox async mapping in the ROS 2 Docker container
    uses 1% of one cpu, 500MB +0.4W above the base 2.6W (5.1v 0.6A)
    fed from ROS 2 Humble GoPiGo3 robot over 5GHz WiFi
    output /map and /pose to ROS 2 Humble rviz2 in Ubuntu 22.04 VM on Mac OS
  • Tested running nav2 in the ROS 2 Docker container
