An open standard for communication between fleets of AGVs and a central Master Control. Developed jointly by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (www.vda.de) and the Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (www.vdma.org), as well as the Institute for Material Handling and Logistics (IFL) at KIT (www.ifl.kit.edu) and many contributers out of the AMR industry.
If you work at an VDA / VDMA member, check with your contanct person if you can join the working group. Everyone is free to raise issues or offer new improvements for the protocol.
