wcTool

wcTool is a command-line tool for counting bytes, lines, words, and characters in a file.

Installation

Clone the repository, and the steps

git clone https://github.com/zoyron/wcTool.git
cd wcTool
npm install -g .

Usage

• wctool -c path/to/your/file.txt prints the number of characters in the file
• wctool -b path/to/your/file.txt prints the number of bytes in the file
• wctool -l path/to/your/file.txt prints the number of lines in the file
• wctool -w path/to/your/file.txt prints the number of words in the file
