HEC 87 Mobile Website

Purpose

The purpose of this site is to povide a tool for Hotel Ezra Cornell attendees for the weekend of the conference and before & after networking / research. It may also provide a medium through which potential guests / attendees can learn more about HEC.

Technologies Used

HEC Mobile Website uses 4 open-source technologies to accomplish what it does:

  • CakePHP for all of the back-end site functionality.
  • MySQL for database storage.
  • jQuery Mobile for the mobile interface & mobile JS.
  • Sass and Compass to write & compress the CSS used.

CakePHP Credits

CakePHP is a rapid development framework for PHP which uses commonly known design patterns like Active Record, Association Data Mapping, Front Controller and MVC. Our primary goal is to provide a structured framework that enables PHP users at all levels to rapidly develop robust web applications, without any loss to flexibility.
