# sfTextToImagePlugin (for symfony 1.3 and I assume older versions)


## What is it ?
sfTextToImagePlugin is a symfony 1.3 (and probably other untested version) plugin that converts text into an image based on a truetype font you provide.


## How to install ?
From your symfony project, type :

cd plugins
git://github.com/vinyll/sfTextToImagePlugin.git sfTextToImagePlugin


## How to try ?

create a data/fonts directory.
copy your .ttf file(s) there.
go to apps/your_app/config/app.yml :
all:
  text_to_image:
    presets:
      my_preset:
        font_file:  my_truetypefont.ttf
        font_color: 996600
        font_size:  22
        background_color: FFF
        transparent_background: true
add at the top of your template file :
<?php use_helper('TextToImage') ?>
replace your text with :
<?php echo text_image_tag('My display text', 'my_preset') ?>


# How to use ?
Multiple font properties
You can have many presets, each having its own properties (font family, color, size, bg color, transparency) described by a preset name.

apps/your_app/config/app.yml :

all:
  text_to_image:
    presets:
      title:                             # preset name
        font_file:  my_truetypefont.ttf  # font in your project data/fonts directory
        font_color: 996600               # color to render
        font_size:  22                   # font size
        background_color: FFF            # color of the background
        transparent_background: true     # wether to use transparency
      subtitle:
        font_file:  my_truetypefont.ttf
        font_color: 996600
        font_size:  15
        background_color: FFF
        transparent_background: true
