ATTENTION EMSISOFT SECURITY USERS:

Emsisoft Security's behavior blocker will block ep_setup.exe only after it has already closed out of windows explorer. this will leave you with a blank screen.
to fix this you need to

1. press Win+R
2. type "explorer" and press enter
3. go to Emsisoft Anti-malware app
4. go to "quarantine"
5. press ep_setup.exe and press restore
6. open the file again
   because windows explorer is closed out you wont get the "suspicious behavior detected" prompt on the side of your screen so it will default to quarantining the file
