Tomcat 8 Docker image with Spring Loaded
Repo for Dockerfile to run Tomcat-8 with the Spring Loaded Java agent.
It is derived from the Tomcat:8-jre8 Dockerfie at the docker-library on github.
Building
Build the image with
# cd to directory above cloned repo copy
$ docker build -t 'tomcat8-spl' tomcat8-springloadedand then run the image like so:
$ docker run -p 8080:8080 --name tomcat -d -v /home/core/share/tomcat/{app-outputdir}:/usr/local/tomcat/webapps/{approot} -v /home/core/share/tomcat/logs:/usr/local/tomcat/logs tomcat8-sprl
where
- app-outputdir

is where the exploaded war web-app is written to on the host machine and
- approot
-
is the application path on the Docker image.
Subsequent runs are done with the command
$ docker start tomcat
