Hello, this is a reposotory for shell scripts focsued on the Ubuntu Bash Shell. I made it because I'm lazy xD

Make sure the system is updated

In every script I've placed an system update (sudo apt-get update)

Automation Setups

Development:

  • tasksel (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Tasksel) Tasksel is a Debian/Ubuntu tool that installs multiple related packages as a co-ordinated "task" onto your system.

  • virtualbox (https://www.virtualbox.org/) VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use.   • lamp-server with phpmyadmin using tasksel

  • composer (https://getcomposer.org/) Composer is a tool for dependency management in PHP. It allows you to declare the libraries your project depends on and it will manage (install/update) them for you.

  • nodejs with npm (https://nodejs.org/en/) Node.js® is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine. Node.js uses an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model that makes it lightweight and efficient. Node.js' package ecosystem, npm, is the largest ecosystem of open source libraries in the world.

  • git (https://help.github.com/articles/set-up-git/) Git is a free and open source distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency.

Editing:

  • darktable (http://www.darktable.org/) darktable is an open source photography workflow application and RAW developer. A virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them.

  • gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) Whether you are a graphic designer, photographer, illustrator, or scientist, GIMP provides you with sophisticated tools to get your job done. You can further enhance your productivity with GIMP thanks to many customization options and 3rd party plugins.

  • inkscape (https://inkscape.org/en/) Whether you are an illustrator, designer, web designer or just someone who needs to create some vector imagery, Inkscape is for you!

  • blender (https://www.blender.org/) Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.

  • openshot (http://openshot.org/) OpenShot Video Editor is a free, open-source video editor for Linux. OpenShot can take your videos, photos, and music files and help you create the film you have always dreamed of. Easily add sub-titles, transitions, and effects, and then export your film to DVD, YouTube, Vimeo, Xbox 360, and many other common formats.

  • rawtherapee (http://www.rawtherapee.com/) Developing raw images is a breeze when you know what it is you want to achieve, and when you know the tools you have at your disposal. The RawPedia wiki contains articles which describe every tool and topic related to RawTherapee, and more. Reading it will answer most of your questions, it will give you greater power and maneuverability in getting the most out of RawTherapee's tools, and it will save you time!

Extra:

  • youtube-dl (http://youtube-dl.org/) youtube-dl is a small command-line program to download videos from YouTube.com and a few more sites. It requires the Python interpreter, version 2.6, 2.7, or 3.2+, and it is not platform specific. It should work on your Unix box, on Windows or on Mac OS X. It is released to the public domain, which means you can modify it, redistribute it or use it however you like.

Gaming:

  • audacious (http://audacious-media-player.org/) Audacious is an open source audio player.   • subdownloader (http://www.subdownloader.net/) SubDownloader is a program for automatic find and download/upload subtitles for your movies/series (MKV,MP4,AVI,etc).

  • thunderbird (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/) Thunderbird is a free email application that’s easy to set up and customize - and it’s loaded with great features!
