Download the latest ISO image from the Linux Aether website.
Use a tool like Rufus (Windows), Etcher (Linux/Mac), or the command line to create a bootable USB drive.
- Insert the USB drive into your computer.
- Reboot your system and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Set the USB drive as the primary boot device.
- Save changes and reboot.
- Select "Install Linux Aether" from the boot menu.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to partition your disk and configure system settings.
- Complete the installation and reboot when prompted.
- Remove the USB drive.
Upon first boot, follow the initial setup wizard to:
- Create a user account.
- Set up your network.
- Choose your preferred language and time zone.
Open a terminal and run the following commands to update the system:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
Use the Aether Package Manager (APM) to install additional software:
apm install <package_name>
ADE is a custom desktop environment designed for Linux Aether, providing:
