This is a demo Django app to test the LaunchKey API.
Modify these as needed
## clone the repo
$ cd launch
$ virtualenv --no-site-packages env
$ source env/bin/activate
$ pip install -r requirements.txt
$ cd proj
$ python ./manage.py syncdb
Acquire app_key, secret_key and private_key from LaunchKey developer app setup.
The following command command can be used to convert the RSA Private Key to a PEM file for use by the python API.
openssl rsa -in LaunchKey.key -outform PEM -out launchkey.pem
Copy launch/settings_base.py to launch/settings.py and modify these variables:
- LAUNCHKEY_APP_KEY = ''
- LAUNCHKEY_SECRET_KEY = ''
- LAUNCHKEY_PRIVATE_KEY = 'path_to_generated_pem_file'
These are some of the things I noticed while developing my app.
The iOS app shows "Swipe right for tutorial" but the user actually must swipe left.
On Github, the installation instructions via pip show
$ pip launchkey-python
The command should be
$ pip install launchkey-python
Same problem on https://launchkey.com/docs/sdk/python/
Running the above pip install command on my mac resulted in the following error:
running build_configure
warning: GMP or MPIR library not found; Not building Crypto.PublicKey._fastmath.
building 'Crypto.Hash._MD2' extension

Fortunately, running this on Ubuntu Linux was successful.
