The story of Synergy for the Changelog

I suggest that you could cover the story of Synergy in the Changelog.
Synergy is a tool that allows you to share mouse, keyboard and clipboard between multiple computers even with different operating systems.
I think you could dive into at least these three aspects:
- The technology (cross-platform) and that it has been around for a while.
- Version 2 which was announced, then pulled, and is now in development again.
- The struggles on how to pay development for this open-source project, also see this interesting blog post: https://symless.com/blog/synergy-story
