Auto-multiple-choice exporter for Org

ox-amc is a rudimentary exporter for auto-multiple-choice, rendering Org documents as AMC question sets. It isn’t meant as a one-stop solution for writing AMC questionnaires in Org, but rather as a way to use the simplified Org syntax instead of writing directly in AMC’s especially heavy brand of LaTeX.

Because most input gets ignored, the following README can be exported with ox-amc. All text like this will be dropped from the output. What follows is a set of sample questions, which you can open and export with ox-amc.

Questions are numbered, top-level lists like this. Answers are a level-2 bullet list. Any bullet will do.

  1. Is this the first question?
    • True
    • False
    • Erm, maybe?

Notice how we didn’t mark answers as valid or invalid. Default rule of =ox-amc= is: the first answer as correct, all others as incorrect. In the example above, “True” is the only correct answer.

This question, though, has multiple valid answers:

  1. This is the second question.
    • Two is an even number. ((+))
    • This is indeed the second question. ((+))
    • Two is a prime number. ((+))
    • Two is an odd number.

((+)) marks a correct answer. ((-)) can be used to mark an answer as incorrect. Second rule: if an answer has a mark, all unmarked answers are incorrect.. Those marks can be customized, see the ox-amc-marks custom group.

  1. This question has only one correct answer.
    • This is incorrect.
    • This is correct ((+))
  2. This question has zero correct answers.
    • This is incorrect.
    • This is incorrect ((-))
