This code is for board versions 1.*

Setup

  1. Install the Arduino IDE (See www.arduino.cc)

  2. Copy the content of the folder bootloaders into

    • Windows: <Arduino Installation>/hardware/arduino/avr/bootloaders/
    • Mac OS X: /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/java/hardware/arduino/avr/bootloaders/
  3. Copy the folder mega32 to

    • Windows: <Arduino Installation>/hardware/arduino/avr/variants
    • Mac OS X: /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/java/hardware/arduino/avr/variants
  4. Append the following text to

    • Windows: <Arduino Installation>/hardware/arduino/avr/boards.txt
    • Mac OS X: /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/java/hardware/arduino/avr/boards.txt

  5. Fix Serial library for ATmega32. Open

    • Windows: <Arduino Installation>/hardware/arduino/avr/cores/arduino/HardwareSerial.cpp
    • Mac OS X: /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/java/hardware/arduino/avr/cores/arduino/HardwareSerial.cpp

    Replace:

    #if defined(__AVR_ATmega8__)
       config |= 0x80; // select UCSRC register (shared with UBRRH) 
    #endif
    

    With:

    #if defined(__AVR_ATmega8__) || defined(__AVR_ATmega32__) || defined(__AVR_ATmega16__)
       config |= 0x80; // select UCSRC register (shared with UBRRH)
