NoteSync (working title) is an Android application aimed at students that allows you to make audio recordings of your lectures and synchronize the audio to those notes. It solves a similar problem as Livescribe's "smartpen", but, as a software-only solution, accommodates far more flexibility in note-taking styles. As a Livescribe customer, NoteSync came out of frustrations I had with the Livescribe system. Having to always take notes on proprietary paper using a bulky, expensive pen that was frequently running out of ink or battery was frustrating. I collaborated with two other UTCS students on NoteSync as part of Mike Scott's Mobile Computing class at UT Austin.
