Tweeter Project

The Tweeter project (in this specific instance, called Relephant) is a simple, single-page Twitter clone.

Built upon LHL-provided starter-code to learn and practice HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery and AJAX front-end skills, as well as Node, Express and MongoDB back-end skills.

Getting Started

1. Fork this repository, then clone your fork of this repository.
2. Install dependencies using the npm install command.
3. Create a .env file to set your PORT and MONGODB_URI. Hard-coded 'initial tweets' can be found in /server/data-files.
4. Start the web server using the npm start command. The app will be served at http://localhost:8080/.
5. Go to http://localhost:8080/ in your browser.

Dependencies

• Node 5.10.x or above
• body-parser
• dotenv
• MongoDB

Additional Notes

This project uses MongoDB for its database, please make sure it is active when accessing locally. Please make sure to view this page without browser extensions to avoid issues loading content.
