Configurations for .bashrc file to shows git branches and colors
Open .bashrc file and paste/replace:
parse_git_branch() {
git branch 2> /dev/null | sed -e '/^[^*]/d' -e 's/* \(.*\)/(\1)/'
}
if [ "$color_prompt" = yes ];
PS1='\n${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}\[\033[01;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[00m\]: \[\033[01;34m\]\w \[\e[91m\]$(parse_git_branch)\n\[\e[00m\]$ '
Then your terminal will look like this:
user@host: /folder (branch)
$
