A small, easily extensible and efficient (as is yet to be proven) dwm status bar information provider.
Motivation to write this little tool was getting up to speed with c++11 and template metaprogramming as proposed by "Modern C++ Design: Generic Programming and Design Patterns Applied" by A. Alexandrescu.
(BTW: The name is an acronym of "DWM SAtusbar in c PLUS plus" - yeah, I'm a creative guy. g)
- X11/Xlib header files
- c++11 compatible C++ compiler
- dwm (sort of - you don't acutally need dwm as such, any other WM using the X11 root window name as statusbar info would do :) )
Take a look at config.mk
and adapt it to your system.
Then usual
make
make install
should suffice.
See config.h
for instructions and examples. Feel free adjust the
typedef
InfoModules
to your requirements.
See the existing InfoSource
s. Basically, you have to:
- create an new class/struct, which implements
InfoSource
- override the
get()
method to provide the information your source is supposed to provid - insert it into the
InfoSource
chain inconfig.h
