With the activation of light hotspots, this is not needed anymore and won't have any effect.
Scripts to help Helium witness miner to contact the PoC challenger
This tool, run from an Helium full miner, checks if it got issues contacting a challenger.
If yes, it gets the p2p adress of this challenger from the Helium api, then ping it.
If successful, this p2p address is added to local peer book, and the miner will be able to reach the PoC challenger and report the witness.
This repo contains scripts for:
Balena based miners:
- nebra indoor & outdoor & Rock PI
- sensecap M1
Docker based miners:
- pisces outdoor
Note: you need full root access to your miner.
Check google.
Balena based miners:
- You will need to extract the SD card from the miner, plug it in a computer, and update a file on it.
- add your ssh key to the /config.json file
Pisces:
- ssh is already available. Use the same credentials as for the dashboard. The prefered way is to add a ssh key to admin.
Choose the correct version for your miner:

From a root ssh session on the miner:
wget https://github.com/softlion/miner-resolver/releases/download/v0.0.4/<your correct version> -O miner-resolver
sudo chmod +x miner-resolver
On Pisces, add the user to the docker group so it does not need sudo:
sudo usermod -a -G docker admin
Logout from ssh and login again so it takes effect.
Run One time:
./miner-resolver
Run Forever in background:
screen
while true; do ./miner-resolver; sleep 120; done

To stop
screen -r

Install dependencies:
go install github.com/hpcloud/tail@latest
install UPX (https://upx.github.io/ or choco install upx on windows)
