- Thread synchronization (Mutex, Recurisve Mutex, Semaphore, Event)
- Inter process communication (Mailslot)
- Unified driver model (see Driver Framework)
- Network (LwIP based Socket API)

Build
For Win32-Simulator
- Rename
CMakeSettings-template.json
toCMakeSettings.json
. - Open root directory in Visual Studio 2017 or higher.
- Generate CMake cache and build
kernel.exe
.
For Others
- Downloads chino-gnu-toolchain-preview3.tar.gz and extracts to
/opt/
directory
wget https://github.com/chino-os/chino-gnu-toolchain/releases/download/preview3/chino-gnu-toolchain-preview3.tar.gz
sudo tar xvzf chino-gnu-toolchain-preview3.tar.gz /opt/
- Installs dependencies
git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/gnu-efi/code gnu-efi-code
cd gnu-efi-code
make && sudo make install
sudo apt install device-tree-compiler xorriso cmake -y
- Clones source and builds
git clone https://github.com/chino-os/chino-os.git
mkdir build && cd build
../build.sh <arch> <board>
make firmware
Run
For exe
- Just run
kernel.exe
(build_i/src/kernel/Debug/kernel.exe).
For iso firmware
- Downloads VirtualBox and runs.
File
->Import Application
, importsChino.ova
which is inchino-os/vms/
directory.Settings
->storage
, chooses theempty
device and imports thefirmware.iso
just generated in thebuild
directory.Start
.
