The school board sends a notification announcing that the math and reading scores of Thomas High School (THS) ninth graders were altered due to academic dishonesty. In order to determine the validity of this statement, we examine the relevant csv files containing information from all 15 schools and their students' math and reading scores. We then compare the analysis of including versus excluding THS's ninth grade scores.

- District summary
- The original average math score was approximately 79.0. The new score excluding THS ninth graders was approximately 78.9. Difference between the two was 0.1. Since the digits of precision between the two summaries are displayed differently, the values from the last three columns would round to be the same should they be formatted to have no digits after the decimal.
- If the scores and percentages displayed contained more digits of precision, the trailing digits would likely be different between the two sets of values. However, the digits of precision was most accurately displayed with the original district summary. Any additional trailing digits that are displayed, as with the other DataFrames below, hold little significance.

Four changes in the updated school district analysis after excluding reading and math scores for the ninth grade at THS include:
- The average reading score of THS changed from 83.8 to 83.9, which suggests that tenth through twelve grade reading scores are slightly higher that of ninth grade scores.
- The percentage of students that passed math from THS changed from 93.3% to 93.2%, which suggests that slightly more ninth graders passed math than other grades.
- The percentage of students that passed reading from THS changed from 97.3% to 97.0%, which suggests that slightly more ninth graders passed reading than other grades.
- The percentage of students that passed both math and reading from THS changed from 90.9% to 90.6%, which suggests that slightly more ninth graders passed math and reading than other grades.
