President Donald Trump’s aggressive use of executive orders puts him on a pace to be the most prolific issuer of them in the modern era.
That’s according to an analysis from Oxford Economics, which looked at executive-order issuance across presidencies.
Trump’s most famous order to date has been on immigration — the now-halted ban on receiving refugees from seven mostly Muslim countries — but he also has signed various orders and directives on topics ranging from border security to financial regulation.
The Constitution gives the president executive power but doesn’t define executive orders or memorandums.
