Newer Versions, Older Systems [BUG]

Thanks for taking the time to write a bug report!
Describe the bug
Alas, no version of NAM after 0.7.2 works on any of my rigs, VST or standalone. I can load things, but doing so makes no difference to the actual sound. Knobs turn, but do nothing – not even in/out volume. No error messages. Also, and this is probably key, the processing is almost absent on 0.7.3 or higher: Tracktion shows me about a good 30% difference in CPU usage between 0.7.2 and 0.7.7, which suggests processing is somehow bypassed?
Desktop: AMD FX-8350, 4.00 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 2014. PresSonus Audiobox USB 96, both input 1 and 2 makes no difference, Tracktion 7, Waveform 11, Bandlab/Cakewalk/whatever they're calling it these days, Live Lite, MiniHost, NanoHost (all x64). Audiobox ASIO, FlexASIO, ASIO4All. Windows 10, 22H2.
Laptop: generic HP POS, AMD Ryzen 5-2500U, 16GB RAM, 2019. Tracktion 7, Waveform 11, ASIO4ALL, FlexASIO, Windows Audio (normal and exclusive), via onboard Reaktek 2496 audio. Windows 10, 22H2.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Move the plugin to the VstPlugins directory (ok, I copy NeuralAmpModeler.vst3.new to NeuralAmpModeler.vst3)
- Renew plugins list
- Load NAM
- No error messages, but also no actual changes.
Expected behavior
To affect audio signals.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: Windows 10, 22H2 on both rigs
- Plugin version: 0.7.3 or newer; earlier work flawlessly
- Standalone on desktop, VST3 on both
- DAW: Tracktion 7, Waveform 11, others also tried
- Audio interface: Presonus AudioBox USB 96 on desktop, std Reaktek on both
- Sample rate: 44.1 and 48 kHz; both work fine in earlier versions (I understand 44.1 isn't supposed to work?)
- Buffer size: 256 samples
Additional context
0.7.2 works great – thank you for an awesome amp sim!
