This coding exercise comes from Upcase, the online learning platform we run. It's part of the Regular Expressions course and is just one small sample of all the great material available on Upcase, so be sure to visit and check out the rest.
Repeating a pattern is an important part of regular expressions. It allows you to write part of a pattern only once instead of copying-and-pasting it multiple times.
We recommend our Back to Basics: Regular Expressions article to learn about how regular expressions work.
To start, you'll want to clone and run the setup script for the repo
git clone git@github.com:thoughtbot-upcase-exercises/regular-expressions-repeating-patterns.git
cd regular-expressions-repeating-patterns
bin/setup
After running bin/setup, edit lib/regexes_repeating.rb and fill in the correct regex to make the tests pass.
To run the tests, run rake. Try reading the test failures one at a time, and fixing each one in order.
