Kraken was our internal project code name until open sourcing.

Description

This project contains source code of the BlobCity Database. The database offers disk based storage suitable for replacing Hadoop based Data Lakes and a separate in-memory storage engine designed to meet all real-time analytics requirements.

Sub Projects

  • Code Management Projects:
    • Launcher - Starts up the database process
    • Bean Manager - Common project to allow cross-project bean sharing inside the database
    • Distribution - This module creates the release package of the BlobCity DB. It is only used by the build process and does not contain any real code.
  • End Point Projects:
    • TCP End Point - Controls all exposed TCP end points for the database
    • Web End Point - Controls all exposed Web end points (REST over GET/POST) for the database
  • Database Code Projects:
    • Engine - Core engine for the database
