This is the website for Tech Lady.
Geting Started¶ ↑
(1) Install ruby.
We use ruby version 1.9.3p194, you can use RVM to help you install ruby. (RVM url: rvm.io)
(2) Install rails.
We use rails version 3.2.8, after you installed ruby, please run following command:
a) update RubyGems
$ gem update --system
-
If you don’t have RubyGems installed, please install it first. (RubyGems: rubygems.org/pages/download)
b) use RubyGems to install Rails
$ gem install rails
(3) Configure gemset
Create gemset for tech-lady project use:
$ rvm gemset create tech-lady
(4) Clone this project.
Run following command in your terminal:
$ git clone git@github.com:wmaintw/tech-lady.git
(5) Rock and roll.
Go to the root folder of this project, and run following command:
$ . build.sh
After all tests passed, run following command:
$ . build.sh s
When web server started successfully, visit localhost:3000 in your browser.
By the way, you can run following command to get help information for build.sh:
$ . build.sh h
