This extension works by extending the HTML syntax in VSCode. This isn't ideal for a couple of reasons (e.g. we can't use our own language-configuration.json, and we have to turn off HTML linting), so an eventual goal of this extension is to separate the syntax into its own language ID. There is an outstanding VSCode issue which aims to make writing extensions for templating languages easier.
