Maybe you are asking yourself: What does that name mean?
"Contigo" is spanish and means "with you". That is the main principle of this piece of software. It has the claim to be "with you". To be up to date. To offer you more than the big tech companies.
The project was born some years ago, when I was disappointed about the end of life from popular image management software that I relied on. The big players in the tech business don't care about you. Decisions are based on political and economical facts. Why should you pay yearly a high amount of money for an image library? Of course maintanance costs money. But having a short look at the revenue gives you an insight, that this kind of products are a cash cow. And that's simply not fair.
So, at least for me Contigo will be my "partner in crime" and will support me with cool features, that I even don't get from the big tech companies. I hope you will enjoy it as well.
