This project utilizes SQL queries within jupyter notebook to bring together data from the Northwind companies databases. It then uses these queries to analyze and find proposals for how to utilize discounts to incentivize customers.

Recommendation_System_MovieLens

This repository covers a project of creating a recommendation system using collaborative filtering on the Grouplens movielens database. The surprise library is utilized to test out different models (KNN Basic, KNN Baseline, and SVD). SVD was found to be the most accurate and then was implemented into the system. The cold start problem was addressed by giving new users the opportunity to rate a random sample of 5 movies from movies that are among the most popular.

King_County_Housing_Data

This project looks at the housing data for King County, Washington. I created a predictive model that accurately predicts houses within the lower 75% price bracket to an accuracy of 92%.

Pump_It_Up_MLProject

This repo contains my files for competing in the Driven Data Competition Pump It Up: Data Mining the Water Table. I went through several different models to classify wells as functioning, not function, or functioning needs repair. I had the most success using the Random Forest classifier while using GridSearch to tune the parameters for the best outcome.

Twitter_Hashtag_Analysis

This repository is a project looking at tweets that used the #BLM and analyzed the sentiment and words used as well as utilized topic modeling with Latent Semantic Analysis and Latent Dirichlet Allocation to pull out the main themes that are used when the #BLM is used.
