A browser extension made for the Fluent Youtube Downloader application.

This open-source, TypeScript written, Chromium browser-based, extension is designed for Fluent Youtube Downloader users to convert videos without having to go to the application every time.
Users should be able to download the video on the active tab where the extension is opened. The extension will make a secure request to Fluent Youtube Downloader once the user presses the download button. Fluent Youtube Downloader will then handle the rest in the background, without interrupting the user's experience.
Make sure to keep Fluent Youtube Downloader open in the background!
This extension does not support the following browsers:
- Safari
- Internet Explorer
- Firefox
This extension has been tested on both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
You can install the latest extension from the releases page of this repository into your Chromium-based browser.
You may have to enable developer mode.
This extension needs to be connected to Fluent Youtube Downloader. No worries, you don't have to connect every time you reopen your browser.
Open Fluent Youtube Downloader and navigate to the settings page. Scroll down until you see the Extension Password option. Enter any password you like.
Go back to the extension and enter the password you created in Fluent Youtube Downloader. Once you've filled in the password, click the 'Connect' button.
You should see Connected on the top of the extension when the authentication succeeded.
Head over to a YouTube video and open the extension in your browser. This can be done by simply clicking on the Fluent Youtube Downloader icon.
The video details should be filled in automatically. If not, you will have to fill them in manually.
Then, simply press the download button and let Fluent Youtube Downloader do the rest.
Make sure to keep Fluent Youtube Downloader open!
