About This Tech Talk (lab walk-through) The purpose behind this Tech Talk is to enable partners to develop foundational knowledge and experience with best practice and approach to migrate from Cisco Prime Infrastructure (CPI) to Cisco DNA Center (DNAC). In this session, they will observe the trainer configure selected items that are required for migrating from CPI to Cisco DNAC. The purpose of the lab walk-through is to provide initial understanding of the migration process.

It would be helpful to network administrators and managers to understand the best practice involved in migrating from CPI to Cisco DNAC, thus building their understanding for seamless transition from CPI to Cisco DNAC.

The sessions include the following content:

  • Module 1: Show configuration in Prime. This module focuses on showcasing the functionalities and data that we leverage on CPI and prepare that to migrate to Cisco DNAC.

  • Module 2: Show pDar Tool. This module concentrates on prior compatibility check before migrating the data from CPI to Cisco DNAC with the help of pDar Tool.

  • Module 3: Migration. Showcase the migration process of data from CPI to DNAC.

  • Module 4: Management via Cisco DNAC. This module helps the audience understand the functionality of managing all the devices that has been migrated from CPI with the help of Cisco DNAC.

  • Module 5: New Advanced features of DNAC. This module talks about the new features that are added to Cisco DNAC and thus makes network management easier as compared to the past.

Audience and Level of Knowledge Recommended

Pre-requisite: Basic understanding of network and wireless functionalities.
Target audience: Pre- and post-sales. Expertise: Fundamental session for beginners.
