Note that ITRA has recently changed its website and this package cannot be used to scrape their current website. I will work towards an update of this package soon.
Scraping the website of the Internation Trail Running Association (ITRA) with Python.
A presentation of the package with some examples is available here.
The package can be installed via pip install
after downloading the .tar.gz
file in the dist/
folder.
Alternatively, the functions in the scrapITRA/src
folder can be used without installation by cloning or forking the repository.
The ITRA data for the period 2010-2018 are available in the data_scraped
folder.
We analyse the data set scraped from ITRA in the following paper:
Fogliato, Riccardo, Natalia L. Oliveira, and Ronald Yurko. "TRAP: a predictive framework for the Assessment of Performance in Trail Running." Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports 1.ahead-of-print (2020).
