Bias is an inevitable part of a signal and to that extent all living things exhibit a signal that is biased toward Life. That being said, within our own species, we have inevitable developed our individual and tribal biases that have evolved since we migrated out of Africa.
The ability to rapidly travel and the development of the internet signal technologies that have the ability to allow us to expand our minds through travel and dialouge so that we can digitally reduce the space between our cultural differences and mitigate prejudice before it escalates to conflict and subsequently war or revolution.
Education, travel, and dialogue are all ways that people can learn how to minimize their own biased perspective to see the world through the eyes of others. As you are exposed to more diverse signals, you can learn to identify the components of your own understanding that are biased based on the variety of external factors that we are exposed to in life.
The bias we hold in our own minds is subsequently reflected in our data that we use to model the world. Bias results in models of science, economics, and government that are distorted to benefit of one group of people without considering the utility of the model to the entire planet or universe.
Aikido or the Way (do) of Spiritual (ki) Harmony (ai) is a martial art that teaches one to respect the energy of everything in this universe including that of even your enemy. Learning to perceive the spiritual energy of others on this planet helps develop an intuitive understanding of why you should love thy neighbor as thyself.
To create a world where we reach the Mountaintop where all men and women are treated equally, we must work to expand our cultural knowledge to ensure we sufficiently sample all the diversity on this planet so that the models we create and the artificial intelligences we create are designed to provide utility for all human beings.
