This repo contains my custom dot files and personal settings.
For getting an initial configuration run the following command:
./bootstrap.sh
- Turn on zoom in Accessibility settings
- Turn on dark menu bar and dock in General settings
- Mission control disable automatic rearrange of Spaces
- Show battery percent on the menu bar
- Show bluetooth on the menu bar
- Show volume control on the menu bar
- Disable Siri (Settings -> Siri)
- Disable automatically adjust screen brightness (Settings -> Displays)
- Disable adjust keyboard brightness in low light (Settings -> Keyboard)
- Disable "Correct spelling automatically" (Settings -> Keyboard)
- Disable "Install app updates" and "Install macOS updates" (Settings -> App Store)
- Configure Finder`s sidebar to not show Recents and to show the user folder (Finder -> Preferences -> Sidebar)
- Configure Dracula Font in Xcode
- Configure Afterglow theme in iTerm
- Activate unlimited scrollback in iTerm (Settings -> Profiles -> Terminal -> Unlimited scrollback)
- Change Screen Shots shortcuts
- Change Safari's "Quit Safari" shortcut to be cmd+opt+Q (Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> App Shortcuts)
- If using a keyboard that has the weird paragraph key to the left of the "1" key instead of "tilde/single quotes", remap it: https://www.grzegorowski.com/how-to-remap-single-mac-keyboard-key
