Setup

Env

• Install virtualenv to create isolated Python environments
  • pip3 install virtualenv
• Activate the newly created virtual environment
  • Unix: source env/bin/activate
  • Windows: env\Scripts\activate
• Deactivate the virtual environment when done
  • deactivate

Init and Configue

• Install Django within the virtual environment
  • pip install django
• Initialize the Django project
  • django-admin startproject banterbytes
• Start the Django development server
  • python manage.py runserver
• Apply database migrations
  • python manage.py migrate
• Create a new Django application within the project
  • python manage.py startapp banterbytes
