ChessPi

ChessPi is a RESTful API & database for chess games. It is free to use, free to fork and free to admire. If you are a developer/chess lover looking to set up a chess games database, ChessPi might come in handy.

Features include:

Endpoints to query games as PGN strings or JSONified dictionaries.
Query filters to search for specific sets of games.
Endpoints to query players.
Endpoints to add new games (players are added automatically)
A game parser that connects the database to the API.

Dependencies

Installation

Run pip install -r requirements.txt
Run python db_create
Run python db_migrate
Launch the server python runserver.py

Testing

Run the following commands from ChessPi root:

python tests/game_parser_tests.py
python tests/model_tests.py
python tests/endpoint_tests.py

All tests should pass.
