UPDATE (29.02.2024)

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to finish this project at the moment. But since the app basically works (apart from a few small things), I wanted to at least publish the current status of the app.

Here is the current status:
There is no info page. The help page is also missing. The Create full Angular Project module is functional, but still has a few bugs. The Edit Project Details page does not fully work. A step can be deleted, but if you make changes to a step, they cannot be saved yet. The finished Powershell script does not always work properly. Depending on how complex the project created is, the Powershell script may generate errors. In 8 out of 10 cases the Powershell script works.

Oh yes, maybe I should also mention at this point that this app is not optimized for all devices/screen resolutions. There are no issues in viewing the app on normal Desktop PCs or Laptops/Notebooks

The current version of Angular CLI DevKit (v1.00.82) is available at the following URL:

What is Angular CLI DevKit?

In short: Angular CLI DevKit is an Angular-based web application, which offers the ability to create command prompts for the Angular CLI via a graphical user interface. With the Angular CLI DevKit, new workspaces, new components, new services, etc. can be created in this way.

Okay ... tell me more

While I was learning Angular, I quickly realized how powerful the Angular CLI is. However, I often had to read the official documentation because I simply couldn't memorize all the commands. So I started writing little Powershell scripts to help me create new projects, generate new components, create new services and everything else you can do with the Angular CLI. But this whole collection of scripts simply became extremely impractical at some point.

So I thought about it and finally decided to create my own web application that would allow me to generate prompts for the Angular CLI quickly and easily. And what could be better suited for such a web application than Angular 😉.

What can the Angular CLI DevKit do?

Well ... a picture can say more than words. And that's why here is a screenshot of the main page of the Angular CLI DevKit

Actually, this little project was supposed to be just for myself and I didn't plan to release this app. But in the end I liked it so much that I thought: "I'll just publish it on GitHub.".

So what are the next steps?

The Angular CLI DevKit is almost finished so I am practically close to releasing a first version. But there are still a few little things to do. As it was not planned to release this app, the Angular CLI DevKit was very rustic and hat a simple and functional design and only the most necessary functions. I just didn't want to publish it in this state. And unfortunately it takes some time so that everything looks nice and in the end everything works as planned.

The user interface is currently completely finished. Almost all functionalities are implemented. Unfortunately, some of them are not yet working as planned. Here and there I probably have to adapt the interface a little and add one or two functions. So I'm on the home stretch and I'm confident that I'll soon have fixed the last bugs/issues. The plan is that I will hopefully have a first version ready at the beginning of February, which I can then publish. Just stop by any time. Happy to see you again 😊
