This tool is especially useful for research assistants, engineers, and students who need to extract numerical data from visual representations for analysis and further research.

Features

  • Interactive user interface for easy plot selection and data extraction.
  • Automatic data point detection and digitization.
  • Export digitized data to various formats (CSV, Excel, etc.).
  • Customizable settings for accuracy and precision.

Installation

  1. Clone this repository.
  2. Install the required dependencies: pandas, numpy, scipy and matplotlib.
  3. Run the plot_digitizer.py script.

Usage

  1. Launch the tool and load the plot image.
  2. Define calibration parameters if necessary.
  3. Click on data points to automatically extract coordinates.
  4. Review and adjust digitized data.
  5. Export data to preferred format.
