Canadian French - CSA Apple keyboard layout

This keyboard map is a close reproduction of the OS X keyboard layout named "Canadian French - CSA".

How to install

You need to check out this repo and then symlink csa.map.gz to the default directory. Under Arch Linux Arm, the defaults is /usr/share/kbp/keymaps/i386/qwerty/.

To load the keymaps use loadkeys csa.

Example

git clone github.com/pothibo/csa.map ~/csa.map
cd /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty
sudo ln -s ~/csa.map/csa.map.gz csa.map.gz
sudo loadkeys csa

Make it defaults

In Arch Linux Arm, you can set the default in /etc/vconsole.conf. You have to change the KEYMAP variable to csa:

KEYMAP=csa

Missing features

  • Composing accentuated caracters
  • Missing diaeresis
  • Missing Fn keys combos (I don't have a wired keyboard with the Fn key :( )
