/etc/start run all files in /etc/my_init.d begining with 0 or _ start asynchron other synchron and end if exit code not equal 0
/etc/update.sh check package updates and return 1 if same exist and run script in /etc/my_update if exit code return not equel 0 it closed to show from extern exist updates
