# Social Authentication with Django Allauth

## Introduction

This guide focuses on integrating social authentication into a Django project using Django Allauth. We'll configure Google OAuth, Facebook, and GitHub as authentication providers.

## Getting Started

To set up social authentication with Django Allauth, follow these steps:

1. **Installation**:
   - Make sure Python is installed.
   - Install Django and Django Allauth using pip:
     ```bash
     pip install django django-allauth
     ```

2. **Configuration**:
   - Add `'allauth'` and `'allauth.account'` to your `INSTALLED_APPS` in `settings.py`.
   - Include `'allauth.account.auth_backends.AuthenticationBackend'` in `AUTHENTICATION_BACKENDS`.
   - Configure Django Allauth settings in `settings.py`, providing credentials for social apps:

     ```python
     SOCIALACCOUNT_PROVIDERS = {
         'google': {
             'APP': {
                 'client_id': 'YOUR_GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID',
                 'secret': 'YOUR_GOOGLE_SECRET',
             }
         },
         'facebook': {
             'APP': {
                 'client_id': 'YOUR_FACEBOOK_CLIENT_ID',
                 'secret': 'YOUR_FACEBOOK_SECRET',
             }
         },
         'github': {
             'APP': {
                 'client_id': 'YOUR_GITHUB_CLIENT_ID',
                 'secret': 'YOUR_GITHUB_SECRET',
             }
         },
         # Add other providers if needed
     }
     ```
