By using Rails MVC Application it will be prodused the Long Url to Custom short url
so here some gem are using for url shortener purposs
mainly this Application using the “ gem ‘shortener’ ” for creating custom shortest url
in this is app providing the short url, and view side using twitter-boostrap for designing.
steps: step1: creating new rails application ex: rails new UrlShortener
step2: generating short for model and controller ex: rails generate model short ex: rails generate controller short
step3 adding shortner gem into gemfile ex: gem ‘shortener’
step4:generating migrations ex:rake db:create rake db:migrate…etc
step5: start the server ex: rails s (or) rails server
