This repository presents work on Universal Dependency Parsing for Swiss German, which has been done as part of the Master's Thesis Parsing Approaches for Swiss German at the Institute for Computational Linguistics at the University of Zurich.
The provided resources consist of 100 Swiss German sentences, manually annotated with part-of-speech tags and universal dependencies. gsw_ud_goldstandard was used in the aformentioned thesis, gsw_ud_v1 is a corrected version according to the official UD validation process. Since November 2019, my manually created parse trees are part of the Universal Dependency Treebanks version 2.5: UD_Swiss_German-UZH.
NOAH's Corpus of Swiss German Dialects was used as a resource for the Swiss German part-of-speech tagging process - a process preliminary to parsing.
The folder monotonicity_splits contains the splits used for the Dialect Normalization experiments described in: On Biasing Transformer Attention Towards Monotonicity
