Driving Christmas tree with WS2812 LED strip using ESP8266. It uses esp-open-rtos as the primary target with ws2812_i2s and libesphttpd (for OTA updates) libraries.

How to build

Install and configure esp-open-sdk and esp-open-rtos. Download or clone this repo to your local drive.

Run "make" to build the firmware. Run "make flash" to flash it to your ESP8266 module over serial using esptool.

Assuming you have all dependendices installed:

git clone --recursive https://github.com/esp-open-sdk/esp-open-sdk
cd esp-open-sdk/sdk
make toolchain esptool libhal STANDALONE=n
export PATH=$PATH:`pwd`/xtensa-lx106-elf/bin
cd ../..

git clone --recursive https://github.com/SuperHouse/esp-open-rtos
git clone https://github.com/nochkin/esp-tree
cd esp-tree
make
make flash

If you change the code, all consecutive updates can be done using "make flash" or over air using "ESP_IP=192.168.4.1 make webflash" command, where you put the IP of your ESP8266 in ESP_IP.
