Using cookie_cutter to build a test module for PyPI

According to https://help.github.com/en/articles/adding-an-existing-project-to-github-using-the-command-line I may have started erroneosly because I put in a README.md before pushing the project. I am now facing issues pushing the project.

Steps ommiting few:

Open Git Bash.
$git init : Initializes the repository

    C:\Users\CCF\Desktop\GROUP 17\testcc>git init
    Reinitialized existing Git repository in C:/Users/CCF/Desktop/GROUP 17/testcc/.git/

$ git add . : Adds the files in the local repository and stages them for commit. To unstage a file, use git reset HEAD YOUR-FILE.

C:\Users\CCF\Desktop\GROUP 17\testcc>git add .

Commit the files that you've staged in your local repository. $ git commit -m "First commit": Commits the tracked changes and prepares them to be pushed to a remote repository. To remove this commit and modify the file, use git reset --soft HEAD~1 and commit and add the file again.

At the top of your GitHub repository's Quick Setup page, click to copy the remote repository URL.

In the Command prompt, add the URL for the remote repository where your local repository will be pushed. [resource: https://help.github.com/en/articles/adding-a-remote]

Ok, continuing. I took the existing README.md from the latest zip and manually put it into the local repo folder.

We encountered the same error when we tried git push remote master

I googled the symptom and got back this useful guide: https://blog.plover.com/prog/git-ff-error.html

It explains to do the following:

1. Fetch the remote master branch and check it out.
2. Do some work and commit it on the local master.
3. Push the new work back to the remote.
4. Refresh the tracking branch.
5. Rewrite the local changes.
6. Try the push again.
