Shopit
Shop It! is a cloud based mobile application for enhancing the shopping experience for users on the go. Our application can recommend best offers in nearby stores, deals in restaurants and best discounts on products based on your location. Project uses highly scalable and efficient Amazon services like SQS and SNS for ensuring high availability. For notifications, we have used Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) for real time service. We are using REST API for providing responses from backend Elasticsearch engine scanning through high amount of geocoded deals data ensuring minimum response time for users. With this application users now have a power to reach beyond just an conventional shopping application. By registering as a merchant in the app and user can start own business or boost an existing one.
MyCompanion
It happens very often that we pass by the grocery store and forget to pick up milk or have an important presentation and forget important documents or may be heading to the airport and forget the passport. Well, in order to help disorganized people or people with forgetfulness. I am proposing to develop location-based reminder application. As the name suggests this application will allow the user to instruct the application to either alert or take certain actions when the user arrives or leaves specified destination. In this application i have used Google play service for setting the geofence and getting location of he user at very low power consumption. Once the user arrives at specified location the event which is set by the user(sending sms or notification as pop up) is triggered.

This is demo android app which downloads all the photos uploaded from the application asynchronously from Amazon cloud Service
Android_Acronym
This application “Acronyms” is very user-friendly. Firstly, the user can create categories of his own choice and convenience. Different categories may have similar words with different meanings. On creating a category short forms and fulforms of words could be added by the user in that category. On long press,on a category the option of delete appears, so that the user can delete it easily if not required. Secondly, on long press, on an acronym, options such as add, delete and update are provided to the user. Full forms could be updated or unwanted acronyms could also be deleted. The app is specially made for all the students. And finally, on pressing back button you will get a dialog confirming whether you really want to exit. On selecting Exit the app will exit and bring you to application menu. Android_Location
This is an android application which gives location (cell tower location) of the person who have installed this application. The working of this application is little bit unique. On receiving a keyword 'Location' via SMS ,the location of the recipient is sent to the sender of the SMS. Eg: Suppose there is A,B,C,D are family and A have installed this application and have given permission to B and C to access his/her location. So, whenever B or C sends SMS containing keyword 'Location' , the location of A is sent to them. Whereas if D sends the message containing Keyword 'Location', location of A won't be sent. The main motive behind building this application was to keep track of student who come home late or aged people. PS: GPS is not used to retrieve the location,CELL TOWER LOCATION is used, the place where this application was developed didn't had much support for GPS and was slower to retrieve location.
Android_English-to-Hindi-Translator
Angrelish is very powerful and easy to use English-Hindi translation application. Application uses rule based approach for translation. As mobile devices like smartphoneshave become more powerful and affordable than ever, the application can be made directly available to large number of people.The goal of this project is to create an application for all the tourist who visit India.Application provides user with on the go translation of English sentences to Hindi. The best part of this application is that all the translation is done offline. The source and the target literature is same. Angrelish proves useful for the all people who understand hindi but cannot read and write hindi.
