Debian Stable Package files for Rubinius
This is for version 2.2.6 of rubinius. Version prior to 2.2.4 requires patches
to complete the package build. This is for Wheezy/Stable of Debian. Oldstable
patches exist elsewhere.
To build the deb on Wheezy/Stable.
# Optionally install git and build-essential
sudo apt-get install build-essential git
# Install the BuildDependencies
sudo apt-get install cdbs debhelper ruby1.9.1 build-essential \
zlib1g-dev libncurses5-dev libncursesw5-dev libreadline6-dev \
libssl-dev quilt ruby1.9.1-dev bison libyaml-dev
# get source ready
bzip2 -dc rubinius-2.2.2.tar.bz2 |tar xf -
cd rubinius-2.2.2
# REQUIRED!
# install bundler on to the system.
sudo gem install vendor/cache/bundler-1.3.5.gem
# If using MRI 1.9 you MUST
# install the newer verion of rake into the system.
sudo gem install vendor/cache/rake-10.1.1.gem
# build package as usual
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
