Bare minimum RESTful service implementation written with Tornado.

Quote from various famous personalities. This project is entended to be a standalone service, on a dedicated port, written in Python. It require the Tornado library for it's async socket management. Currently, the quote.json file contains over 17000 french language quote from various author encoded with HTMLEntities.

Dependency

• Tornado: pip install tornado

Start

unary$ python quote_service.py -h
usage: quote_service.py [-h] -f QUOTE_FILE [-p PORT] [-m MAX_CONNECTIONS]
                        [--padding PADDING]

optional arguments:
  -h, --help          show this help message and exit
  -f QUOTE_FILE       format: [{"key": "value"}, {"key": "value"}]
  -p PORT             port number to accept connection to (Default: 8080)
  -m MAX_CONNECTIONS  number of maximum connection allowed (Default: 5000)
  --padding PADDING   JSONP function name

unary$ python quote_service.py -f quote.json
Serving 17039 quotes on port 8080.
Press Ctrl + C to quit. 

Output after HTTP GET will be:
