abadouh opened this issue · comments

Hey,
I am trying to install tombo using pip and or the git repository and I get the same error.
Below you can find the details:

OS: Ubuntu18.04
Python: 3.8
numpy: 1.24.4

Using pip

mkdir tombo
python3 -m venv venv3
source venv3/bin/activate
pip install --upgrade pip
pip install numpy
pip install ont-tombo[full]

Using github

git clone https://github.com/nanoporetech/tombo
cd tombo/
python3 -m venv venv3
source venv3/bin/activate
pip install --upgrade pip
pip install numpy
pip install -e .

I get the following error:

hint: See above for details.

It appears as though pip is not finding the numpy install. This may be an issue with your python environment or the way Tombo runs setup. Tombo is deprecated and I would recommend moving to Remora for raw signal analysis.
